Thrive also intends to support the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE), Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs (MoGCA), Ministry of Social Welfare (MoSW) and other existing early childhood development stakeholders in Sierra Leone to identify and assess models with scaling potential. Our approach will be flexible, and we can support partners to, for example, evaluate existing programmes to assess their potential for scale or through technical assistance. By co-producing knowledge that informs the choice of effective initiatives and their implementation we can design optimal scalable interventions.
Thrive research in Sierra Leone is implemented by Oxford Policy Management (OPM), UK – which provides evidence-based advice in areas of social and economic policy and governance globally, and the Institute for Development (IfD), Sierra Leone. IfD is a specialist, mixed methods, and qualitative research institute providing high-quality evidence in Sierra Leone since 2013. IfD core activities include program evaluations, action research, and political economy analysis.
