Improving child outcomes through integrated 0-3 services

While Ghana is relatively advanced in its provision of pre-primary and kindergarten education, early childhood development provision for children aged 0-3 years is still extremely limited. Through a literature review and stakeholder engagement, this project aims to identify the most promising early child development throughout intervention that may be trialled in the country.

Before trialling any early child development throughout intervention for this age group, formative research is needed to explore what early child development throughout delivery for this group in Ghana should look like, and determine what programmes currently exist in Ghana or the wider region.

This project aims to perform a literature review and intensive stakeholder engagement process to determine the most promising early child development throughout intervention (or combination of interventions) for children aged 0-3 to be trialled in Ghana.

Our objective is for this project to feed into a future longer-term project, subject to co-funding, to trial and evaluate the identified intervention.
